2013 Naish Fly 15m
The Fly goes in virtually no wind and is incredibly fun to ride. Its exceptionally light weight is primarily the result of removing the center strut. In doing this, the center section of the canopy performs like a spinnaker and generates incredible power in light wind. The Fly uses the Park's proven easy-handling design, which gives it superior turning ability, but it incorporates more overall sweep, which helps the Fly relaunch in marginal wind conditions.

We focused on the low-end power delivery without losing any of the light, crisp feel. LE percentage and profile depth have been tuned to improve the low-end pull. We also slightly reduced the sweep in order to get the overall platform closer to a real classic C-shape. To maintain the relaunch characteristics, we slightly extended the wing tips, to keep the same leverage on the overall kite when the rider pulls on the back line.

Our R&D team set out to create a kite that was simple, easy and fun for 'all around, hooked-in freeriding'; and a kite that a novice or entry level rider could use for learning the basics and improving into an advanced rider.

Our R&D team set out to create a kite that was simple, easy and fun for 'all around, hooked-in freeriding'; and a kite that a novice or entry level rider could use for learning the basics and improving into an advanced rider.
The rounded wing tips allow the kite to better rotate with less drag while resting on the water, which makes relaunching extremely easy. The two-strut design allows for a lighter weight kite with a more full center section. This design, coupled with a slightly flatter arc (compared to the Park) allows the Ride to get more punch when sheeting in, giving it that nice sheet in and go feel.
The Ride's design characteristics translate into very easy jumping, where the rider can simply sheet in and jump on demand, without having to over think kite positioning. The Ride really hits the mark for the target rider and our R&D team is very proud of the end result.
